The one and only…[Name]:
Maxine Wetting
But you'll call me…[Alias]:
Mushroom
A child at heart…[Age]:
16
You sexist! [Gender]:
Female
Puts bread on the table…[Occupation]:
Trainer
Beauty is only skin deep…[Appearance]:
Mushroom is a lanky-looking girl. She stands at a height of 5'11, and, unfortunately, has a very…erm… less than filled-out body. She's sort of straight looking, as far as figures go, and she is regarded as very flat chested. Her legs are long, but that only makes her clumsy, and her arms are long as well. She can usually be found sporting a pearly white, long-sleeved jacket, that is always zipped up and conceals a light blue tank top underneath. Her shoes are more like sandals, or fancy flip-flops, and her jeans are stretched out and worn, though not as dirty as one would expect. Mushroom's face is almost heart-shaped in a way, and her eyes are the color of amber. Her hair falls just past her shoulders, framing her face in a flow of golden orange locks. The bridge of her nose, as well as booth her cheeks are dotted with millions of freckles.
Through my eyes…[Personality]:
Mushroom has always been a bit spunkier than those around her. She's an optimist and thus, holds on to the brighter side of life. She loves to laugh, laughs for love, and always has a word to offer. Needless to say, she's talkative. Her conversations can range from any subject at any time. Usually, though, when she's talking, Mushroom can have two 'voices' so to speak. Her first is the kind, loving, happy, totally naïve voice that she uses at any time when she's in her usual bliss. However, Mushroom can be just as snappy, too. Sarcastic comments can fly out of her mouth faster than air flies out of a balloon.
She's not very bright, not at all, in fact, but her heart is in the right place, and she'll more often than not help out those in need. She's thick skulled, and normal explanations aren't enough to make this girl understand anything. You'd better be a truly expert instructor, or else you better have a lot of time to spare. You'll need it to teach this sorry trainer.
Oh, and, did I mention she has Mycophobia? That's right, Mushroom is unnaturally afraid…of mushrooms. If one gets near her, she'll be gone in seconds. ((This includes mushroom like things such as umbrellas, and pokemon like Paris and Parasect.))
Where it all started [History]:
Mushroom, despite what many think, had a generally average family. It was herself, however, that became the object of the dozen hundred rumors that flew about her hometown. Mushroom, known as Max back then, was born in the city of Saffron. Her parents were your average middle-class workers, who knew nothing of pokemon or how to battle them. Maybe that's where Mushroom gets her 'talent'. Anyway, Mushroom had a large family. With three sisters and five brothers, it was pretty obvious that she didn't get much except on Christmas and Birthdays. And so, because her own home was overrun with so many siblings, Max took to wandering the streets of Saffron City by herself.
On the streets and in the slums was where Max met her first friend. His name was never given and his family was never seen. From what Max could tell, she'd say he had been an orphan. But that wasn't her place to make assumption. When this boy saw first hand, Max's reaction to mushrooms, what else could he do but give her the nickname? Max didn't seem to mind, and before long all of her siblings, relatives, and neighbors began to call her by the name. She had become Mushroom.
That next year, Mushroom seemed to have become the most popular kid around the slums. Many of the children came to be her friend. She didn't have a clue as to the hardships they had to endure each day, though. She almost never stayed at home, and when she had to, she would eagerly await the chance to venture back out into the city. However, trouble was just around the corner.
Team Rocket had invaded the city and taken hold of Silph Corp, a powerful technology company. Crooks littered every corner, and people were forced out of their homes to shelter the pitiless gang. Mushroom's family was one of them. However, when her parents refused to abandon the building, the team grunts took the easy way and killed them. Her family scattered throughout the streets, and Mushroom ended up alone.
The girl lived with her old friends for the next few years, and essentially, not much had changed. When Team Rocket was finally flushed out, she took that as a sign to move on. Mushroom decided upon joining the ranks of the pokemon trainers, and so, headed towards the region of Torrenta.

Lunacy seemed to engulf our world. I could feel my ears start to give out between the sirens roaring behind us, and Craig, who was banging his head like a maniac and turning the half-broken radio up to full blast. Ceil was no help to my sanity as she rolled down her window and, sticking her head out, yelled back at the Police car chasing us.
"You'll never take us alive!"
"Ceil, we have enough problems to deal with right now!" I growled, pulling her inside, "So cut the idiot crap and focus!"
"Okay, Okay!" She giggled and I could tell that she could care less about the other problems.
"Time to jump." Craig suddenly cut in.
"Jump?" I sounded alarmed. Of course I had known that this old, beat-up truck had no gas anymore, but wouldn't the brakes still work?
"We can't just stop. With those cops chasing us we wouldn't get all of two seconds before they're on us. We have to keep moving." He clarified. "Besides, this could be our only chance. We're almost to the bottom of the hill."
I nodded and swallowed painfully, while Craig unlocked her door, preparing for the venture. I let go of the wheel tentatively and looked to Ceil, who would be the first to jump. Once she was gone, Jeff and I would have to be quick to follow. As I watched Ceil dive from the interior of the car and roll down into the dry yellow grass of the field, I grew nervous and my hands began to shake. Without thinking I moved back in a jerky fashion, my elbow hitting the steering wheel with enough force to redirect the truck straight into the ditch along the roadside. Craig, who had been preparing to jump, was thrown out with myself following posthaste.
Once my feet were touching solid ground I could hear the calls and outrageous laughs from Ceil as she hurried towards us. I could barely hear due to what I believed was a horrible head injury, but one word could be distinctly heard.
"RUN!"
Helping Craig to his feet, I pulled him into a run with me, Ceil soon joining us. I could see the hilarity in her eyes and the way she looked at me every few minutes. It wasn't what was planned, but it got the job done. The police had pulled over to th car and were now making sure no one else was left inside. They yelled something after us, but not one of us took any mind to it. In the end what we were doing was for the greater good; Who could argue with that?
