Nothing happened at the moment...

Denkou glanced around suspiciously, expecting something to emerge from a tree or bush... or anywhere! He paused when he thought he heard the soft splash of water behind him, and quickly spun around. Expecting it to be a wild Pokemon, Denkou was slightly disappointed when he saw that it was just Keir, who had stepped in a nearby puddle.
Geeze... I'm so paranoid. There's nothing around here that could really hurt me. Definitely no Sevipers...
Denkou shook his head, and continued along the path, keeping his eyes to the ground. Keir tilted his head in a questioning manner, then returned to following Denkou.

A Bidoof wandered out of a bush in front of them. <I swore I smelt food. Oh well.> it said. The pokemon took a deep breath and then plopped down, right in the middle of the road or whatever they were walking on.

The Bidoof soon came into Denkou's sight as the male wandered down the path. He eyed it questioningly, wondering why it was just sitting on the middle of the road like that. It was bound to be attacked!
"Hey, you. Lazy. What are ya doing there?"
He asked, not really expecting a response at first. The Pokemon must've been dim enough to decide to relax out in the open. Denkou walked up to the Bidoof, nudging its side with a couple gentle taps of his foot, wondering how the Pokemon would respond.

<Sitting.> it replied in a bored tone. It yawned and soon fell asleep after it spoke.

Denkou couldn't understand what the Bidoof said, but he felt very disrespected when the Pokemon decided to take a snooze. He wasn't a boring kind of guy. He spun around and glanced down at Keir with a serious expression.
"Keir, take on this... thing. It can't do much to you!"
He sneered, watching as the Absol panted happily in response. His Pokemon stepped over to the sleeping Bidoof, and poked it with one of his claws. Moments later, Keir brought back that paw, and brought it down on the sleeping Bidoof, using a cheap Scratch attack.

The Bidoof didn't seem to notice it had been attacked. It rolled over in its sleep, and started to snore.

Keir smiled when his Scratch attack was successful, yipping with delight as the Bidoof rolled over. The smile faded when the Absol noticed that his foe was still fast asleep. How could a Pokemon sleep through getting scratched? Keir examined his claws for a moment, figuring they were plenty sharp.
"Hey, don't worry about it, Keir. This means that Pokemon won't be fighting back. Scratch again!"
Denkou spoke, with a slight shrug. He really didn't see a problem with the Bidoof sleeping now. Maybe his Pokemon could get away with winning this battle without taking a hit.
Keir returned his focus to the sleeping Bidoof, and nodded. Denkou was right. Maybe it was a bit unfair, but it was the Bidoof's fault for sleeping during a battle. With his confidence back, the Absol brought his other paw down to repeat his Scratch attack.

The Bidoof rolled over once more. It continued to sleep. The pokemon wasn't in the middle of the path anymore. It was off to the side. You could continue if you like.

Keir looked back at Denkou, mildly surprised that the Bidoof was still fast asleep after taking a couple Scratch attacks. Denkou shrugged once again, happy that the wild Pokemon was making no attempts to fight back. He didn't feel sorry for it at all; that would teach it not to sleep during a battle!
"Keep it up, Keir. Just keep Scratching."
Denkou yawned, and felt like he was about to sneeze. Hmph, he wanted to hurry this battle up; he needed another nap. Even though the Bidoof was out of the way, he still wanted his Absol to battle it.
Keir barked in reply, then faced the Bidoof again. He felt a little guilty to be picking on this poor and defenseless Pokemon, but a battle was a battle. So, once again, Keir make the effort to use Scratch again.

The Bidoof yawned and opened its small, bead like eyes. It glared at the Absol. <So you were making those noises?!?> It growled and shot a Water Gun at the Absol.

Keir jumped back when the Bidoof woke up, not expecting the Pokemon to rise from its sleeping state. The Absol whimpered when the wild Pokemon spat the Water Gun, htting Keir in the chest. Darn, and he almost got through a whole battle without taking any damage...
"Hmph, oh well. That Pokemon will get to watch itself lose now! Scratch!"
Denkou laughed, not letting the overconfident side of him weaken just because the Bidoof was awake now. Ha, that little thing couldn't take Keir down even if it tried!
The Absol grinned at Denkou's enthusiasm, becoming even more determined to win. Yipping eagerly, Keir came swiping at the now awake Bidoof again to use another Scratch.

The Bidoof dodged the attack, and shot another Water Gun at the Absol.

Keir growled when he scratched at thin air rather than the Bidoof's fur. For being such a lazy Pokemon, it sure was quick! The Absol turned his head towards the Bidoof, just to be greeted by another Water Gun.
"Keir, use Razor Wind again! It seems to work!"
Denkou ordered, remembering how easily the Rattata was taken down with Keir's last Razor Wind. If it worked like last time, he expected similar results!
The Absol stepped back a bit, and closed his eyes. A weak spiral of wind began to form before him, sucking up a bit of dirt and random debree. This would take a bit of time, but Keir hoped that this Razor Wind would be worth it in the end.

The Bidoof also seemed to knock it would take time. It opened its mouth and shot another blast of water at the Absol.
