Finally, the rain was letting up!
Denkou smiled up to the sun that was peeking out from the dark and gloomy storm clouds. He was hoping that things would brighten up once he set foot on this Route; he was getting tired of being pelted by rain.
Keir - Denkou's new Absol - trailed behind Denkou, making faces at his reflection whenever he passed a puddle. He was keeping himself amused, and exploring this new world outside of the laboratory. It was nice, and he thought he had a cool new trainer. It won't be long before Keir witnesses Denkou true personality though...
Denkou sneezed, and sniffled a bit. Bah, he really needed to sit down now. He was feeling sick and tired, and he just needed to get off his sore feet. Spotting a large tree nearby, the male approached it, and took a seat under it.
He leaned his back against the tree, and slowly closed his eyes. Maybe he would take a quick nap... he wouldn't miss any action, now would he?
"Keir, be on the lookout for anything... Battle some Pokemon if you want... I don't care... I'm taking a short snooze..."

Something moved in the sky... It looked like it was coming closer....

Keir nodded to Denkou as the trainer quickly drifted off into a light sleep. The Absol tilted his head, then spun around to take in more of his surroundings. What a peaceful place; he heard Pidgeys chriping in the distance and the sweet scent of flowers. Keir was quite pleased that Denkou chose him to take on a journey.
A figure came into Keir's sight, and the Absol jerked his head towards it. He squinted to see what was approaching, but the figure was still too far away to tell. He knew that it was coming towards them. He didn't tense up though; maybe it would just pass?

The thing continued to get closer... It looked like a bird...

Oh great, that figure was still on its way towards them. Keir frowned and began to look around fractically. What was he supposed to do? He thought that he should battle it, but it was still too far away to reach. The Absol looked back at Denkou, watching his trainer sleep for a moment. Nah, he wouldn't bother Denkou.
Twisting his head back towards the figure, he could now tell that it was a bird of some sort. Hmm, maybe he could kick up a Razor Wind when it was close enough. Denkou said that he was allowed to battle on his own, after all.

Oh no... It was getting really close now! Keir began to panic, unsure of what to do. If he didn't do something soon, that thing was bound to crash into either him or Denkou!
The Absol stood tall, and growled lowly to the bird-like figure. A weak gust of wind began to form in front of him, slowly growing in size. He was preparing to attack with a Razor Wind, but did he have enough to complete it? That figure was quickly approaching, and seemed to have no intentions of stopping either!

The figure continued to fly down at them, gaining speed.

There wasn't enough time! Keir couldn't make the Razor Wind as strong as he first hoped. If he continued to sit around and power it up, that figure would've got away with attacking him or Denkou.
Keir shoved the Razor Wind in the figure's direction, watching the weak attack zigzag towards its target. Hmm, he needed to work on the accuracy of that attack too... It seemed that Razor Wind wasn't heading for the figure in a straight line; it was all over the place!

The wild Razor Wind somehow managed to miss the thing entirely. It continued to get closer. You could almost see what it was. It looked smaller.

Keir sweatdropped when the Razor Wind blew right past the figure, and that the creature was still quickly making its way towards at rapid speeds. The Absol sighed, backing up closer to Denkou to defend his trainer. He would wake the male up, but Keir assumed that Denkou needed a good sleep. That boy didn't sound too good anyways, becoming sick and all...
Keir closed his eyes, and awaited the figure to crashed into him. It wasn't as large as he first guessed, which was a good thing. The last thing he needed was to be dinner to some huge bird.

It was finally close enough to see what the bird was. It was a Pidgey? The bird finally came to a stop. It landed in a nearby tree.

Keir opened his eyes after a few moments, and noticed that wasn't anything approaching him. He blinked in confusion, then looked up to see a Pidgey now perched in the tree that Denkou was leaning against.
"Hey, what was the rush? You kinda had me scared for a moment there... Why were you coming for us in such a hurry?"
The Absol questioned, staring up at the Pidgey sharply. He didn't really trust that Pokemon much. He glanced at the slumbering Denkou for a moment, then turned his head back to the Pidgey for an answer.

The Pidgey wasn't there when the Absol glanced up at it. Hmm... I wonder where it went?
Something hard poked Denkou...

Keir's jaw dropped when the Pidgey suddenly disappeared. Uhm, strange much? The Absol swore there was a Pidgey sitting in there moments ago...
When something hard poked Denkou, the male mumbled in his sleep, but didn't quite wake up.
"Keir... Why aren't battling something? I'm trying to sleep here..."
Denkou mumbled in his sleep, but too quietly for the Absol to hear. Wow, he was quite the deep sleeper, unaware of the events around him...
