A forest? No way... I thought somewhere to rest was coming up!
Denkou stared at the forest that now seperated him from civilization. The male let out a long sigh of disappointment, then began to wander through the heavily forested path. Great, just great. Now he had to go through some creepy forest...
Joe, whom was perched on Denkou's head, was equally unimpressed. Flying here from Iris was a long and tiring journey. He wouldn't have minded staying somewhere warm and cozy for the night, and having a tasty meal. If anything, Denkou was going to make him battle whatever Pokemon got in their way...

A Kricketot walked out of a bush. It stared at them, waving its small arm.

Denkou spotted the Kricketot out of the corner of his eye, and pondered for a moment. Hmm, should he train his Pokemon, or maybe ask it for directions? Certainly a Pokemon that lived in this area would know it inside out!
"Joe, would you mind getting directions from this Pokemon? If it gets hostile, then you have my permission to take it down!"
Denkou questioned, and Joe nodded in return. The Pidgey lifted off his head and flew down before the Kricketot. Hmm, a Bug Pokemon... He would beat it quick if it gave him the wrong kind of answer.
"You... You must know this place pretty well... Tell me, how far is it till the next human town. Do you know?"

Joe flew back to Denkou and returned to his comfy place on top of the male's wild blonde hair. Denkou probably wouldn't be too pleased with the information he was about to present to him; 3 miles was probably too far in Denkou's books.
"Well... we've got 3 miles to go."
Joe announced, feeling Denkou shift angrily under him. The male definitely wasn't happy... 3 miles of this forest!?
"Argh! Not fair! Stupid forest!"
Denkou snapped loudly, hearing his voice echo through the area. He furiously kicked a nearby stone into the bushes, and shook his head, nearly knocking Joe off his perch. In an angry silence, he carried on down the path, just wanting to get out of here!

After he screamed, 3 angry Shuppet and 2 Ghastly appeared in front of them. They didn't look too happy to see them. Denkou must have disturbed them somehow. They glared at him, and unleashed a Night Shade attack aimed at him and the Pidgey.

(Nah, I think Denkou's gonna be stuck with these ghosts for awhile! XD)
Denkou looked at the swarm of Ghost Pokemon before him, and smiled nervously. He just had to open his big mouth! He watched as the Night Shade attack came crashing towards him, and he was swept off his feet when it hit him.
"Ugh... Kyia, Keir, I need your help!"
He grumbled after he hit the ground, pulling two Pokeballs off his belt. He tossed them on the ground, and a Mareep and an Absol emerged before him.
However, this was about to turn into a disaster.
When Joe saw Kyia, he quickly scrambled over to her, to socialize. Hey, forget the battle, they had to catch up on the good ol' days! So, Joe and Kyia were distracted with each other as they laughed about their adventures in Iris.
As for Keir, he was tired and incapable of even damaging these Ghost Pokemon. All of his attacks would just sink right through them. So, the Absol merely sat down, and whimpered helplessly.
Denkou sat up, and slapped his forehead. This was hopeless...

The ghosts smirked at Denkou. All of his pokemon had failed him. Well one had. the other two were talking... ? Oh well he was still going down. They all moved around through the air so they were all facing him in a different directions. The ghosts' eyes turned a bright purple color, and they unleashed another Night Shade.

Denkou rose to his feet as the Ghost Pokemon circled him, looking absolutely unamused. Well, there wasn't much he could do except stand there and prepare for a beating. Hmph, he was too sick and tired to really be dealing with this, but he didn't really want to appear to be a hopeless wimp to these Ghost Pokemon.
Seeing the ghosts in front of him, Denkou was able to manuver out of the way of their Night Shade, but he stepped in the way of the Night Shade coming at him from behind, having his right arm attacked.
"Gah! Oh c'mon! This isn't social hour! Work as a team!"
Denkou shouted, trying to ignore the pain in his arm to catch the attention of his Pokemon. Kyia and Joe paused their conversation and Keir looked over when Denkou gave out the orders.
Kyia and Joe nodded to each other, then moved closer to the swarm of Ghost Pokemon. The Mareep sent out a loud and disturbing Growl, trying to distract the Pokemon from picking on Denkou. Joe and Keir stood on guard, ready to help if the Ghost Pokemon decided to turn their attention to Denkou'd Pokemon.

"Jael!!! Leave Nick alone! Come on!!! Oh, stop it you two!!!" {Kyahh!!!! Jael's being mean!!!} ~Hold still and I'll show you how much meaner I can be, rat!!!~ {Waaaaaaaah!!!! Momma, make him stop!!!} [Both of you, stop it!!! You're acting like babies!!! Well, one of you is a Baby Pokemon... But that's not the point!] "I said that's enough, you two!!! Jael, Nick, come back here right this insta- Kyah!!!"
Well, this was once way to make an entrance. The female had turned from looking at the path to searching for two 'Balls in her belt in order to return both Pichu and Spearow. And, while she wasn't looking to where she was going, her foot got caught in a lump caused by one of the many roots of a nearby tree. Loosing her balance completely the female flailed her arms about, before crashing into something hard and soft at the same time. And warm too. Groaning she rubbed her head, cursing lightly under her breath.
{Momma...} "What?"
~We have a problem.~ "No kiddi- oh, crud..."
She'd just opened her eyes, looking at the direction her Pokemons were before noticing the gang of ghosts - a sweat drop forming on her forehead. Had they interrupted something. Actually feeling something behind her move and breathe the girl jumped lightly, before the sixteen year old turned her head to see what exactly she had crashed into. "Denkou?! Omg!! I found you, finally!!! Have you any idea how long I've been looking for you?! Where have you been?!" She totally forgot about the ghosts for the time being, Yuri now glomping the male into which she had crashed seconds ago in a happy and tight hug.

Denkou was pretty tied up in this battle right now; standing by and hoping that the ghosts would be distracted by his Pokemon, and he could get a break from this disaster. Feeling something crash into him, Denkou's eyes widened and all of his muscles tensed up. Great, another surprise attack?
But, it wasn't painful, and that voice...
"Y-Yuri? Is that you??"
Denkou questioned shakily, glancing over his shoulder to see who glomped him. To his delight, it really was Yuri! His heart almost felt like it was about to pound its way out of his chest; he couldn't believe it! He was reunited with Yuri!
However... He was a bit of a mess. His hair wasn't in its normally spiky style; it was all wet and saggy from the previous rainfall. Plus, he had caught himself a cold, so the paleness of his face and the fatigue in his eyes suggested that he wasn't in the greatest of shape. Well, what more could Yuri expect? He was reckless!

"Of course it's me, silly- Oh, Arceus! What in the world happened to you?! You're soaking wet, and pale, and dirty and you look exhausted... Did you got yourself in that rainfall?! You're gonna catch your death at this rate, stupid!"
Aww, how lovely. No? XD It was evident the female was worried - and though she had insulted him in her speech, she clearly didn't really meant harm with her words. Concern pooled in her amber eyes, helping the male up (since she'd managed to know him down after bumping & glomping him) - and totally managing to forget about the ghost dilema they seemed to be in at the moment. Yuri was just absolutely glad to see him. Not thinking twice the female wrapped her arms around his waist in a hug.
"I missed you, fool... Where did you disappeared to?..."
D'aaawwww... D: Tender moment. And meanwhile the Skitty, Pichu and Spearow blinked - very confused and lost by this point. Still, the ghosts were more of a focus at the moment - and after a short moment Jael and Nick managed to get Mika to use attract on the flating things. Perhaps some, or all, of them where male and they would infatuate with the Skitty? Thus rendering them a better chance to run away?

Oh great. Yuri was going on about how foolish he was. Again. Well, he was used to getting scolded by her for all the crazy things he did. Besides, how could he be anything else than happy right now? After all, he was just reunited with his girlfriend!
"I'm sorry... For a lot of things, I guess. But, do you honestly think that a little cold will st-"
Denkou began, but paused himself when he felt Yuri embrace. Bah, what was the point of continuing? All he did was returned the hug, and enjoyed the peaceful moment.
"I dunno... I remember going into that cave, then somehow returning home... It's all kind of hazy..."
Denkou responded, resting his head on top of Yuri's, and closing his eyes. Well, he too had forgotten about the ghosts. Meh, oh well, there were a bunch of Pokemon now to protect them.

Six pokemons in total, to be exact. Six pokemons that had to be wondering just what the hell was going on... Well, four of them at least. Kyia & Joe already knew.
"I'm sorry... For a lot of things, I guess. But, do you honestly think that a little cold will st-"
Whatever the male had been saying had been lost when the female suddenly clinged to him, completly glad and relieved to see him - and in one piece. You couldn't really blame her - he'd just reached the forest at the beginning of his journey and was already sick, tired, battered and dirty all over. Ignoring the fact that he'd just gotten himself ganged up by a bunch of Ghost pokemons. So, yes. The female had a right to scold him, after all.
"I dunno... I remember going into that cave, then somehow returning home... It's all kind of hazy..."
His reply was the same she had in her head at the moment. It was all a hazy memory, she couldn't really remember how they had gotten separated in the first place. She only remembered the cave... Then nothing... Then being back at her home town in Cinnabar. Her Uncle kept saing it was all probably a dream, that she had never left - but the female had never been convinced about it. It had seemed far too real to be a fantasy, she had felt far too much for him to consider it just a figment of her imagination. And here, finally, there was proof. She'd found him, she'd found her boyfriend once again.
"I don't want to ever leave your side again..."
She kept her face burried in his chest, arms wrapped around his waist in a tight embrace. Soon she could feel his own arms around her, comforted by teh warmth the male's body held, before he rested his head on top of hers. Finally, she had found him. Finally, she was happy again. It was amazing how much one could love a person, Yuri would have never thought it to be possible. Yet, here they were - reunited once more, even after she almost had believed it to be all a dream.
Then again, don't dreams come true?
